Well yet another not so good update. Saturday night Lauren started having tummy issues again and was not tolerating her feeds. I stopped the Nutren (milk) early and waited a couple hours and then started Pedialyte and she still was gagging and actually vomited some up. Well the concerning thing about that is Lauren should not vomit because she had a procedure to stop her from being able to do that. It's called a Nissanfundalplication!!! Because she is an aspiration risk. So off to the hospital we went late Saturday night and they did admit her. Today they ran some tests to see about a blockage or if the Nissan had come loose, but thankfully every thing is fine. So maybe it was a virus, they aren't really sure. I asked if it could be from the pain from her collar bone and they don't really think so. I know after Ryan's car accident and his broken collar bone that he was very nausea and sick to his tummy, but the doctors here don't say that's the case with Lauren. We just started Pedialyte again, very slowly. Only 10 ml an hour. They will increase by 10 ml every 3 hours. So it will take awhile to get to her usual rate of 90 an hour, but we need to make sure she tolerates it.
As far as the collar bone, it seems to really hurt when we move her, but they are keeping pain meds in her. It still stands that it will be repaired on July 11th. Hopefully she will be all over this tummy stuff by then. I will keep you all posted on her. I can use the computer here in the hospital library from 8am to 4pm. SoI will post again tomorrow. Thanks for checking in and for all the nice entries in the guestbook. I am doing better. Thanks for caring so much for us.
